Ingram Micro Inc., Santa Ana, Calif., has struck an agreement with Fujitsu PC Corp., Milpitas, Calif., to distribute its first family of notebook computers. Ingram Micro will distribute three new lines of notebooks aimed at mobile professionals in medium- to large-sized businesses. Ingram will leverage its standing as the world's largest wholesale distributor of microcomputer products to distribute Fujitsu's new notebooks, Monte Carlo, Montego and Milan, to value-added dealers and resellers.

PIXELVISION NAMES EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTORS
PixelVision, Acton, Mass., has named Rein Electronik b.v. as its distributor for the Benelux region, which includes Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Rein GmbH was also selected as a distributor for Austria. PixelVision has been increasing manufacturing to build its presence in the flat-panel computer market in Europe. Both distributors are divisions of the Raab Karcher Systems Group, Nettetal, Germany, which signed a separate distribution agreement with PixelVision earlier this year.

MACROMEDIA LAUNCHES GOVERNMENT CONNECTION
Macromedia Inc., San Francisco, partnered with Ingram Micro Inc. to develop a new program designed to better serve the pricing, product and distribution needs of government resellers. The Government Connection will enable Macromedia to increase its presence at local, state and federal levels by extending lower pricing and easier access to an expanded network of government resellers.
Macromedia Inc. is a provider of cross-platform software tools for Web publishing, multimedia and graphics. Company officials are counting on Government Connection to be more responsive to resellers' and end-users' needs.

IMAGINECARD ALLIANCE DELIVERS SMARTCARD
The ImagineCard Alliance demonstrated applications of electronic commerce July 9-12 at the Worldwide User Conference in Chicago.
Chicago-based Informix Software Inc., Gemplus, based in France, and Hewlett-Packard Co., Palo Alto, Calif., formed the triumvirate last year to offer security-enhanced infrastructure to deliver personal-information "smart card" technology to businesses and consumers worldwide.
By December 1996, the alliance will deliver authentication technology that protects personal information and transactions. An additional security feature will offer digital signature authentication to improve data integrity and ensure non-repudiation of electronic transactions.
The companies came together to jointly develop emerging technology and have targeted two rapidly growing markets -- electronic commerce and corporate intranets -- to give companies the ability to deliver new applications and functionality to individuals, improving convenience, security and service.

IBM PROVIDES ELECTRONIC PROCUREMENT SOLUTION FOR SINGAPORE
Creating a "meeting ground" between buyers and suppliers via the information superhighway has become a reality for the Singapore government with the launch of its Electronic Procurement System, which is based on IBM technology and services.
IBM's Singapore Electronic Procurement Service is an advanced, network-based sales and procurement solution. It automates the work flow of the procurement cycle, linking buyers and suppliers electronically.
The Electronic Procurement Service is the first large-scale implementation of IBM's electronic procurement service for the government industry segment. "It is expected to pave the way for the establishment of electronic procurement services for other governments around the world," said Janet Ang, IBM's general manager for Government Industry Solutions.
