In the Feb. 8 "Plugged In" column, WT incorrectly reported information about Mindspring of Atlanta. It has 110 people, and 50.1 percent of the company is owned by a holding company. Also in the Feb. 8 issue, we listed an incorrect e-mail address under the letter from W. Joe East. The correct address should have read jeast15920@aol.com. We regret the errors.

Mike Nelson, infotech advisor to the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy, did not say the nation needs a privacy czar, but said officials are creating an "entity" to help formulate the government's privacy policy. The "entity" may be viewed by some people as a "privacy czar," he said.
