Two veteran investment bankers have opened up a new shop of their own to focus on the government market's middle tier.

Two veteran investment bankers in the government market have stood up a new shop of their own.

Philip McMann and Salman Husain, now formerly of Aronson Capital Partners, have a firm of their own -- Monument Capital Partners. They will focus on mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory services to mid-market companies in the aerospace, defense and government services sectors.

At Aronson, they most recently worked on the sale of AT&T's defense IT professional services business to Tyto Athene. The pair worked on five deals together focused on IT, cybersecurity and intelligence.

McMann had been with Aronson since 1999 and Husain joined two years ago from KippsDeSanto. Husain also has worked for IBM, Accenture and ASET Partners.
