Cherokee Nation Businesses names new defense & civilian lead

John Boyle, a 25-year veteran of such large businesses, has been named the lead for defense and civilian solutions at Cherokee Nation Businesses.

A 25-year veteran of such large businesses as ManTech, Leidos and IBM has been named the lead for defense and civilian solutions at Cherokee Nation Businesses.

John Boyle was most recently the senior vice president and chief growth officer for ManTech. There he handled sales and growth strategy for the company’s defense, civilian and intelligence sectors.

At Cherokee Nation Businesses, Boyle will help lead the company’s growth strategy and vision.

Cherokee Nation Businesses is owned by the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma and falls into the tribally-owned small business category. The company was ranked No. 71 on the 2020 Washington Technology Top 100.

Boyle will report to Steven Bilby, president of Cherokee Federal.

Boyle holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Emporia State University in Kansas.
