Leidos completes 1901 Group deal

Leidos has closed its $215 million acquisition of 1901 Group to further build up managed IT services and cloud solutions capabilities.

Leidos has closed its $215 million acquisition of 1901 Group and bolster is managed IT services and cloud solutions offerings. The deal was completed on Thursday.

When Leidos announced the deal in December, it touted 1901’s roster of Cabinet-level customers in the departments of Justice, Agriculture, Education and Health and Human Services. Reston, Virginia-based 1901 Group also brings to Leidos capabilities in cybersecurity and enterprise-scale digital modernization.

“We are thrilled to incorporate their managed services and cloud computing techniques to provide our customers with the tools they need for digital modernization,” Leidos CEO Roger Krone said in a statement.

Law firm Holland & Knight served as legal advisor to Leidos. Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP was the 1901 Group’s legal adviser, while Baird served as the company’s financial adviser.
