NCI fights for $80M Army soldier system contract

NCI is protesting the loss of an $80 million contract to AECOM to support an Army soldier system program.

NCI Information Systems is protesting the loss of a $80.5 million task order to support the Army’s Project Manager Soldier Warrior.

The program is used to buy integrated soldier systems that improve the situational awareness and combat readiness.

AECOM won the contract and NCI is arguing that if the evaluation was done properly they would have won the contract.

Some programs the contract will support includes ground soldier systems, which connects dismounted soldiers through the Nett Warrior system. There also are tactical communications systems and aviation support systems.

The order was awarded through the Army’s Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services contract known as RS3.

A decision on the protest is expected from the Government Accountability Office by Oct. 18.
