CACI takes $125M Navy business systems contract

CACI International has captured a $125.4 million Navy contract to support Military Sealift Command business systems.

This contract is a new requirement and was competed through the NIH CIO-SP3 vehicle. CACI beat three other competitors for the work.

The company will support integrated business systems and ashore operations. It will manage, operate and maintain the command’s business system as well as connections with Navy enterprise business systems.

Military Sealift Command will also use the contract to integrate its business systems into a single system so it can comply with requirements such as financial improvement and audit readiness, cybersecurity, cloud migration and interoperability with other Navy and Defense Department systems of record.

Having an integrated business system is a new requirement and need a single support contract, according to the Defense Department. The Navy wants to achieve interoperability, maintain and sustain fleet operations, and adopt a total cost of ownership model.

The contract has a one-year base period and four individual option years. Work will take place in Norfolk, Virginia.
