AECOM's URS subsidiary is pushing back against General Dynamics IT's win of a $2 billion contract to secure and manage the State Department's supply chain.
AECOM is objecting to General Dynamics IT’s win of a $2 billion contract to secure and manage the State Department’s supply chain.
AECOM's URS subsidiary filed the protest this week and a decision is expected from the Government Accountability Office by the end of December.
The Global Security Engineering and Supply Chain Services contract is used to provide the State Department with a variety of security services that support operations in the U.S. and 160 foreign countries. The contract will support different components within the State Department as well as other partner agencies.
Services include program management, technology development, sourcing, procurement, staging, storage, transportation and equipment repair.
General Dynamics is the incumbent.
Some of the requirements include costs that decline each year of the 10-year vehicle, operations that are available 24-hours a day/seven days a week, and 100-percent positive delivery, according to Deltek.
