ServiceNow inks new enterprise deal with GSA

ServiceNow and GSA have signed a deal that will allow any agency to buy ServiceNow products at a discount through Carahsoft's IT schedule.
SerivceNow and the General Services Administration have signed a new governmentwide enterprise software agreement for agencies to purchase the company's products through the IT schedule contract held by Carahsoft.
The agreement will shave the price for ServiceNow products based on the government’s high volume purchasing.
“Providing these solutions through a governmentwide, enterprise-level contract is a great way to reduce duplication in our procurement process,” GSA Administrator Emily Murphy said in a statement.
Using a single contract will drive significant cost savings for agencies, according to Kay Ely, assistant commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service Office of IT Category.
This agreement will help agencies meet several federal mandates under the FITARA law.
The contract covers products for IT management, cybersecurity operations, IT operations management, customer service and human resources management.
There also is on-premise, off-premise or hybrid purchasing and deployment.
GSA expects millions of dollars to be saved over the next five years.
The contract is structured so that more discounts of 4-10 percent can be achieved based on volume of purchases and implementations.
