WT plans more market insights for 2018

Washington Technology is planning a full slate of special reports, webcasts, Insider Reports and even a podcast as we work to bring more value and greater insights to you in 2018.

With the start of 2018, Washington Technology has several things in the work that we think will bring you more value and greater insights into the market and your place in it.

We are planning more webcasts, special reports and Insider Reports. We'll also launch a new podcast later to explore where the government market is headed.

It is ambitious, but the timing is right because we understand that you are bombarded with information but knowledge is often in short supply.

We are sticking with our traditional special reports. The first one on tap is the M&A round up in early March where we look at all of the closed mergers and acquisitions from the previous year and pick out the top deals. M&A activity is a great measure of where companies see the market headed and where they need to invest to be successful.

In June, we’ll publish our annual Top 100 special report and rank the largest government contractors. This is always a closely-followed report because of the insights and analysis of what many of the largest and most successful companies are doing.

In August, we'll publish our annual Fast 50 small business report and rank the market's fastest-growing small businesses. Look out for a call for nominations in May for this special report.

In October, we’ll unveil our second annual WT Industry Innovators awards where we recognize the most innovative companies in the market and how they are transforming themselves to be more successful and better serve their customers.

Our webcast series kicks off on Jan. 25 when we explore Contractors and the New Era of Cyber Compliance. We’ll take a deep dive into the new requirements that all contractors must comply with to protect government data they hold in their networks.

In March, we’ll have a webcast built around our M&A special report to take a deeper dive into the biggest deals of the year and the impact they are having in the market.

In April, we’ll launch a series of webcasts where we’ll explore contract opportunities at specific agencies. These will feature presentations by agencies officials who will share insights on what they need from their contractors and how you can better serve them.

We’ve also begun work on our next Insider Report: "Contractor Confidence and the 2018 Outlook." We’ll conduct surveys to ask you how feel the market is shaping up, where you expect to invest and what challenges you face. That report will be published in February.

Other Insider Reports will look at the state of contract debriefing and bid protests, IT modernization opportunities and challenges, and a report based off on the results of our podcast series.

The podcast series is something very new for Washington Technology. We’ll be recording a series of interviews with current and former CEOs and other visionaries in the market. These conversations will focus on the future of the market.

The primary goal is to explore what they think their business should be like and what the market should be like in 20 years. We are calling it Project 38 because 20 years from how, it’ll be 2038.

We hope to launch the podcast in March and I’m really looking forward to these conversations.

As I said this is an ambitious plan but I think it is step forward in the type and quality of content we provide to our readers. Some of the content will be behind our pay wall and will only be available to WT Insider members. Some will be free to all but in either case all of our readers will benefit.

Time for us to get to work.
