Accenture wants back in on NGA data center contract

After being knocked out of the competition to run the data centers for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Accenture is asking GAO to give it a second chance.
Accenture says it wants back in on a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency procurement for data center services.
The company has filed a bid protest after being eliminated from the competitive range for a contract known as the Information Technology Enterprise Managed Services for Data Center Services.
A dollar value for the contract has not been released.
The contract has four main requirements:
- Storage and computer services for classified and unclassified domains
- Local area networks at NGA data center locations
- Support for data and applications
- Migration services and platform as a service support
Accenture filed its protest on March 27. A decision from the Government Accountability Office is expected by July 5.
While a pre-award protest is pending, the NGA cannot make an award, though it can continue with its evaluation processes.
Accenture officials didn’t respond to a request for comment.
