Dell joins NetCents II protestors

Dell Federal Systems has joined the list of companies protesting the latest rounds of awards of the Air Force's NetCents II Products contract.

Dell Federal Systems became the fifth company to protest the awards made in the Air Force’s third attempt to get the NetCents II Products contract out the door.

The troubled program continues to be hammered as dissatisfied bidders complain about issues involving the Trade Agreements Act, unbalanced pricing issues, discontinued products and the allegation that the Air Force has taken no corrective action with the round 3 awards.

Dell joins Force 3, PCMG (formerly PCMall Govovernment), FCN Inc. and Sterling Computers Corp. in turning to the Government Accountability Office with a formal protest.

A ruling by the GAO is expected by Dec. 12.

For round three of this troubled procurement, the Air Force awarded 16 contracts, out of 24 bids.
