WT ushers in new era

A new chapter is about to begin for Washington Technology. We are launching membership program, and will be offering Washington Technology Insiders a variety of benefits, including exclusive research reports on critical topics in the market.

Next week, a new chapter begins for Washington Technology.

We’re proud to launch the Washington Technology Insider, a membership model for the readers and users of our website.

This means several things, but the bottom line is that this move will allow us to double down on the delivery of valuable and exclusive content to our readers.

Part of the Insider model includes gating content on our website. Not all of it, but a significant portion. So, as a member, you’ll get exclusive access to all of the content – news, analysis, commentary, and research – that we produce.

Members also will receive our daily newsletter that we are redesigning to give you a quicker, but more complete picture of what is going on in the market each day.

Another exclusive member benefit is discounts to 1105 Media events, such as FOSE, the Fed100 and GCN Awards galas, executive briefings and other forums and summits that our parent company produces. In some cases, these discounts will be as rich as 20 percent.

What I’m most excited about, however, are the Washington Technology Insider Reports that we will produce each year. These will be in-depth, independent research projects that will deliver rich insights into critical issues and trends in the market. We expect to do at least two this year.

The first project is underway, if you’ve received a request to take our survey, I urge you to do so. It is about partnering and the attributes of the top prime contractors in the market. We’re using our Top 100 rankings as the starting point, and then collecting information on reputation, mentor-protégé programs, communication skills, teaming agreements and transparency.

Our goal is to create a report that will serve as a must-have guide as you form partnerships and alliances to pursue business opportunities in the market. The final report should be completed and published by late May. So, fill out those surveys.

Preliminary responses to the survey are very exciting, and point to a robust and forward-looking set of data on partnering in our unique and dynamic marketplace. I think this is a great example of the kind of valuable content we’ll be delivering to our Washington Technology Insiders.

As a journalist and commentator on the federal market, I can hardly wait to sink my teeth into the report, and offer my own take on its findings. I’ll be asking you what you think, too.

The Washington Technology Insider begins on April 16. Follow this link to get more information and sign-up.

This year, Washington Technology turns 28, and I’ll celebrate my 17th year with the publication -- I’m as enthused about this new direction as anything I’ve taken on during that time.

So, join us on this journey; it’s going to be a great adventure.
