Via a recent acquisition, GovernmentCIO has booked an $875 million task order to help the Drug Enforcement Administration consolidate its enterprise IT systems into a single integrated infrastructure.

DEA awarded the seven-year order for help to increase system accessibility, usability and security by modernizing older networks and systems used to manage DEA business processes.

GovCIO can tout its win of the “Bluestone” task order through Salient CRGT, which the former acquired in August to create a larger federal technology company but still in the market’s middle tier.

The work will support nearly 16,000 DEA employees and implementation of commercial cloud environments into the agency’s network.

DEA awarded the order through the governmentwide Alliant 2 contract vehicle for IT services and solutions.
