Sigma Defense elevates new CEO

Sigma Defense Systems promotes its former president to CEO nearly nine months after the company’s acquisition by private equity firm Sagewind Capital.

Sigma Defense Systems said Friday it has promoted Matt Jones from the role of president to CEO nearly nine months after the company’s acquisition by private equity firm Sagewind Capital.

Jones succeeds John Wilcox, who has become executive chairman of Sigma Defense’s board of directors.

Prior to joining Sigma Defense, Jones was president of the mission business at the SAP NS2 subsidiary for two years. He joined SAP NS2 through its acquisition of TMA, which he led as president.
