Two Six acquires intell community software developer

Two Six Technologies makes its first acquisition since the company’s formation earlier this year by The Carlyle Group.

Two Six Technologies has completed its first acquisition since the company’s formation earlier this year by the global investment firm The Carlyle Group.

Arlington, Virginia-headquartered Two Six’s purchase of Trusted Concepts adds nearly 130 employees that provide software engineering, cyber, and advanced analytics solutions to intelligence agencies. Terms of the deal announced Tuesday were undisclosed.

Some other technology areas of focus for Trusted Concepts include secure communications and encryption. For the latter area, the company has developed a proprietary security product for government agencies to achieve scalable and object-level protection.

Baird acted as the exclusive financial adviser to Trusted Technologies with Miles & Stockbridge the legal adviser on the sell side. Latham & Watkins LLP acted as legal adviser to Carlyle and Two Six Technologies.
