Former HHS exec Arrieta joins advocacy group's board
Nonprofit group Mid-Tier Advocacy adds a new member to its board of directors in Jose Arrieta, who once led all IT and data functions at the Health and Human Services Department.
A nonprofit group representing several middle-tier government contractors has added a new member to its board of directors in Jose Arrieta, a former Health and Human Services Department senior leader.
He becomes the 12th member of Mid-Tier Advocacy’s board as it continues supporting companies that are looking to grow from their small business status to the mid-tier, the organization said Monday.
Arrieta most recently was both chief information officer and chief data officer at HHS. Prior to that, he was deputy assistant secretary for acquisition and grants at HHS.
His career in government also includes service as director of the IT Schedule 70 vehicle for the General Services Administration.
Since leaving government, Arrietta has founded the small business Imagineeer that focuses on developing solutions for organizations to become more autonomous and data-driven. He also is an early-stage investor focused on providing capital to startups that are committed to a distributed ecosystem.
