System High promotes strategy chief from within
System High promotes one of its vice presidents who joined two years ago to the role of chief strategy officer.
System High Corp., a secure IT company backed by Enlightenment Capital, has promoted nearly two-decade defense market veteran Doug Kumbalek to chief strategy officer.
Kumbalek will also hold the title of executive vice president as he leads System High’s functions related to partnerships, mentoring, business development, capture and proposal.
He will also oversee the company’s analytical research center for creating new solutions, System High said Tuesday.
Chantilly, Virginia-based System High first hired Kumbalek in 2019 as vice president of strategic growth. His career in industry includes roles at Cyberspace Solutions, BWM Outcomes and Leidos.
Before joining the private sector, he served as a Marine naval aviator and AH-1W attack helicopter pilot.
