Booz Allen books $674M DOD comptroller data contract

Booz Allen Hamilton secures a $674 million contract to help the Defense Department maintain and further expand a data analytics platform.

Booz Allen Hamilton has secured a five-year, $674 million contract to help the Defense Department maintain and further expand a data analytics platform across the agency’s enterprise.

DOD’s comptroller sought an industry partner to apply new techniques and technologies in data engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning operations, data visualization and cloud computing to support the Advana platform’s growth.

Advana is used by at least 20,000 people across 42 DOD organizations to make data accessible across hundreds of business systems, Booz Allen said Wednesday.

Those systems house data on financial, medical, personnel and logistics items.

The General Services Administration managed the procurement on behalf of DOD.
