Army turns to small biz to build STEM connections
A3L Federal Works of Fairmont, West Virginia, has been tapped by the Army Combat Capabilities Development Command to help it improve connections with academia, industry and government agencies.
The Army Combat Capabilities Development Command has turned to a small woman-owned business in West Virginia to help it improve connections with academia, industry and government agencies.
The command turned to A3L Federal Works LLC of Fairmont, West Virginia, under a five-year, $25 million contract to help facilitate the exchange of scientific ideas to help develop a better workforce around STEM – science, technology, engineering and math.
Twelve companies bid on the contract.
Through the contract the command wants to create and strengthen networks that connect the command to other organizations in academia, industry and other government agencies.
In addition to being a woman-owned small business, A3L also is 8(a) and HUBzone certified.
