PSC hires new policy lead

The Professional Services Council hires nearly 20-year government service and private sector veteran Stephanie Kostro to lead its policy function.

The Professional Services Council has hired nearly 20-year government service and private sector veteran Stephanie Kostro as executive vice president for policy.

Kostro’s appointment took effect Monday, the trade group said then. PSC touted her background in shaping policies affecting federal government procurement and operations.

She most recently was principal at lobbying firm O’Brien, Gentry & Scott, where she created and carried out legislative and business development strategies for companies.

Earlier in her career, Kostro ran programs as a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic & International Studies. She also held various senior policy positions at the Defense and State departments, plus on a House committee.
