Former Engility, Raytheon exec Lynn Dugle joins Avantus Federal board

Avantus Federal has tapped Lynn Dugle, former CEO of Engility and leading exec for Raytheon, to be a member of their board.

Avantus Federal said Tuesday its board of directors has elected a new member in Lynn Dugle, the former Engility CEO and Raytheon executive.

Dugle joins a group of outside directors that include retired Air Force Gen. Kevin McLaughlin and intelligence community veteran Sue Gordon.

As Engility’s CEO, Dugle led that company through its pivot away from  low price technically acceptable contracts to one focused on best value work. She led Engility from 2016 through its acquisition by Science Applications International Corp. in 2019.

McLean, Virginia-based Avantus also announced Monday it hired three long-time Air Force veterans to the company’s leadership team focused on space.

Doug McCobb, Taylor Edwards and Scott Anderson will help oversee Avantus’ push for growth in the space segment. McCobb spent 28 years in the Air Force and most recently advised its secretary and chief of staff on the establishment of Space Force.

Edwards is a 21-year Air Force veteran who once was chairman of an expert team for the National Reconnaissance Office, while Anderson joins Avantus as a tracking cell analyst after a 24-year career in the Air Force.
