Leidos wins $295M FAA info display contract

Leidos has won a potential 15-year, $294.9 million contract to help the Federal Aviation Administration install new information display platforms at more than 300 airports across the U.S.

The FAA’s Enterprise Information Display System program calls on Leidos to help deploy new display platforms with common hardware and software, the agency said in an Aug. 13 Beta.Sam.Gov notice.

E-IDS is intended to show both live and static data such as weather observations from airport sensors, runway statuses, visibility conditions, diagrams, approach charts and other facility directives. The agency received three total bids for the contract including that of Leidos, according to Federal Procurement Data System information.

Reston, Virginia-based Leidos will perform work over an initial four-year base period and up to 11 individual option years afterward.

Deltek data indicates the E-IDS effort began last year with the award of an initial $2.6 million contract to nonprofit science organization Noblis for program management and other support services.

Once fully stood up, the FAA wants the system deployed at more than 4,000 workstations.
