With a protest battle in the rear view, Guidehouse can now officially tout its win of a $150 million State Department contract to help stand up a new identity and credentialing management system.
Under the 10-year award, Guidehouse will work with Appian and CertiPath to create the new system that will be based on Intercede’s MyID offering.
Guidehouse said Wednesday that the State Department sought a solution compliant with Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12, which mandates a government-wide standard for secure and reliable forms of identification for federal employees and contractors.
The State Department first awarded the contract to Guidehouse over three other bidders in March, but incumbent XTec subsequently filed a protest objecting to the source selection.
The Government Accountability Office denied Xtec’s protest on July 2 but that decision is currently sealed under a protective order. GAO’s decision will undergo a redaction process before public release.
