Agriculture chooses 7 for $500M IT services BPA

The Agriculture Department awards seven companies places on a $500 million blanket purchase agreement for broad IT services.

The Agriculture Department has awarded seven companies places on a five-year, $500 million blanket purchase agreement for broad IT and professional services.

USDA made three awards for the unrestricted piece of the Department of Agriculture IT Support Services contract, also known as DAITSS, with four on the portion restricted for small businesses.

A Feb. 21 notice on Beta.Sam.Gov lists the unrestricted track’s awardees as Accenture Federal Services, Ace Info Solutions (recently acquired by Dovel Technologies) and Science Applications International Corp. Winners of the restricted piece were Creative Systems and Consulting, Dynamo Technologies, Glacier Technologies and Spatial Front Inc.

No dollar value for the BPA was given in the department’s award notice, but a Feb. 26 release by Spatial Front indicates the pact has a $500 million ceiling.

Work areas include software engineering, enterprise architecture, cloud development, data analytics, geographic information systems, systems integration, mobile devices, cybersecurity and governance.

USDA received 17 bids for the unrestricted track and 21 for the restricted portion, according to Federal Procurement Data System information.
