AeroVironment names its next CFO

Unmanned aircraft company AeroVironment announces who will be its next chief financial officer.

Unmanned aircraft maker AeroVironment has appointed nearly three-decade veteran executive Kevin McDonnell to be its next chief financial officer.

McDonnell’s appointment is effective Feb. 10 and he will also be a senior vice president, AeroVironment said Thursday. He takes the role formerly held for eight years by Teresa Covington, who departed in October to become CFO at remote diagnostic device provider Rapairify.

Prior to AeroVironment, McDonnell was chief financial officer at alternative dispute resolution services company JAMES. His career also includes a stint as CFO of Digital Insight that included its 1999 initial public offering and financial leadership roles at Teradata Corp.
