VT Group makes second M&A deal of 2019

VT Group makes its second acquisition of the year, this time of Delta Resources to grow more of a Navy footprint.

Defense technology services company VT Group has made its second acquisition of the year, this time of Delta Resources to add more systems engineering and technical services work for the Navy and other defense agencies.

Terms of the deal were undisclosed, but VT Group said Tuesday it will add close to 350 new employees through the deal that brings total headcount to around 1,100. Alexandria, Virginia-based Delta Resources will become a subsidiary of VT Group and be led by founder and CEO Maria Proestou.

Delta Resources’ prime contract customers within the Navy include Naval Sea Systems Command and program executive offices focused on so-called “C5I” and weapons systems. The company also provides IT, cloud implementation and cybersecurity engineering services to the Army and Defense Information Systems Agency.

This deal represents Chantilly-based VT Group’s second of the year so far since the January acquisition of military aviation services outfit National Technology Associates.

VT Group has been held by private equity firm The Jordan Company since 2012.
