B3 Group takes $686M VA IT upgrade order

B3 Group beats out one other bid for a $686 million task order to support incremental IT upgrades at the Veterans Affairs Department.

B3 Group has won a potential $686 million task order to help the Veterans Affairs Department continue making incremental upgrades to its IT environment.

Herndon, Virginia-based B3 Group said Thursday this follows onto a previous contract last year, where the company led a team that carried out at least 150 deployments for the VA’s Digital Transformation Center that is responsible for delivering IT services across the agency.

The service-disabled, veteran-owned small business will lead a team for this new award that includes Deloitte, Armavel, Mulesoft Consulting, and Millsapps, Ballinger & Associates.

One other bid was submitted to the VA for this order that was awarded Sept. 25 against the large T4NG contract vehicle for broad IT services and solutions across the department, according to a post in the Federal Procurement Data System. Work will take place over an initial nine-month period followed by up to four option years.

B3 Group is one out of 21 positions on the almost $21 billion T4NG vehicle that is essentially the VA’s centralized IT-related procurement.

For this new task order, the team will also focus on cloud computing technologies involving software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service offerings.
