Leidos appoints new UK chief

Leidos has hired former DXC Technology executive and nearly three-decade public and private sector veteran Simon Fovargue as chief executive for its U.K. business.

Fovargue’s appointment to lead Leidos UK is effective Oct. 7 and he will succeed Matt Wiles, the company said in an Aug. 9 release.

Wiles will shift to a part-time advisory role after nearly one year as head of the business. Leidos credits Wiles with leading the integration of the U.K. business after the 2016 merger with the Lockheed Martin IT services business three years ago.

International sales represented nearly 9 percent of Leidos’ $10.2 billion in total revenue last year. A substantial piece of Leidos’ international business comes from a contract won four years ago worth between $11 billion and $12 billion for broad logistics services to the U.K.’s defense ministry.

Prior to Leidos, Fovargue was vice president of defense for DXC Technology’s international public sector business.

He is also a former CEO of the Atlas Consortium, a joint venture involving Hewlett Packard Enterprise and three other companies that provides IT and communications services to the U.K.’s defense ministry.

HPE spun out its enterprise services business two years ago and merged it with what was then Computer Sciences Corp. to help form DXC.
