Trowbridge & Trowbridge hires two-decade government market veteran Matthew Candy to lead its M&A and business development strategies.

Trowbridge & Trowbridge said Monday it has hired nearly two-decade government market veteran Matthew Candy to the dual roles of chief growth officer, plus executive vice president of corporate strategy and development.

Candy joins the McLean, Virginia-based company in the wake of it being acquired by investment firm Enlightenment Capital to help spur the next phase of growth.

He will lead the implementation of strategies for both acquisitions and business development functions.

More recently, Candy was managing director of the M&A consulting firm Arena Strategic Advisors that he co-founded in 2014. He is also a former executive for General Dynamics and ManTech International.

Trowbridge touted Candy’s experience in facilitating numerous transactions along with supporting strategy, M&A integration and BD engagements for corporate and private equity clients.
