Seven companies have captured spots on a 10-year, $240 million Marine Corps training systems support contract.

The multiple-award contract is known as the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Systems Support contract, or MAGTF MTSS. It is a bundling of at least two expiring training contracts held by Cubic Corp. and Serco Inc. However, neither of those companies bid on the new contract.

The Marines received seven bids and made seven awards to:

  • American Systems
  • Calibre Systems
  • Corps Solutions
  • Obsidian Solutions Group (small business)
  • Science Applications International Corp.
  • Solutions Through Innovative Technologies
  • Valiant Global Defense Services

The MTSS is used for pre-deployment training to the Marine Corps Operating Forces. The training includes realistic computer-based simulation training, C4ISR training, combined arms staff trainer training, tactical warfare simulations and deployable virtual training environments.

A bulk of the work (55 percent) will take place at Quantico, Virginia with 15 percent at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; 10 percent at Camp Pendleton, California; 10 percent at Twentynine Palms, California; and 10 percent at Okinawa, Japan.

The companies will compete for task orders under the contract, which runs through March 19, 2029.
