Small biz wins $553M Army unmanned training contract

Small business Pinnacle Solutions has won a potential seven-year, $553.2 million contract for instruction and IT support services to the Army for use in unmanned aircraft training.

The company won the work over 10 other bids and will carry out the services through March 18, 2026, the Defense Department said in its Tuesday awards digest.

According to Deltek data, the requirements for this contract were previously supported through the Army’s large Warfighter Focus contract held by Raytheon for broad training-related and other support services.

Warfighter Focus is being recompeted into several new contracts. The Army awarded the recompeted “Unmanned Aircraft Systems Instruction and Mission Support” contract as a small business set-aside.

Work will include UAS academic instruction in classroom, simulator and actual flight environments, plus logistics support. The location is Fort Huachuca in Arizona, home to the Army’s Training Doctrine and Command.
