DTRA awards large biz piece of $535M IT services contract

Five companies have been awarded places on the full-and-open portion of a potential 10-year, $535 million contract for enterprise IT services and support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics IT, Leidos, Science Applications International Corp. and NT Concepts will bid for task orders over the contract’s duration of five initial base years and a five-year option period after that, the Defense Department said in its Thursday awards digest.

Leidos is the incumbent on the contract inherited through the merger nearly three years ago with the former Lockheed Martin IT services business.

These awards come six months after DTRA awarded the ”Agency Wide IT Services and Support” program’s small business contract to TekSynap at a potential 10-year, $435 million ceiling. TekSynap won out over 12 other proposals.

For the full-and-open portion, Leidos has won the first task order that has a $18.1 million ceiling over up to five years and will carry out IT engineering and systems test support. A second potential $22.1 million order covers knowledge management and related support services.
