Peraton appoints four-decade federal market veteran Alan Stewart as chief financial officer.

Peraton has hired nearly four-decade government market veteran Alan Stewart as chief financial officer, the company said Monday.

Stewart will oversee financial planning, accounting, government reporting and auditing functions. He will also help manage the company’s external audit and lender relationships.

He was most recently senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer at Systems Planning and Analysis. Prior to SPA, he was CFO at Vistronix and helped steer that company through its sale to ASRC Federal in 2016.

At SPA, he helped lead the integration of six acquired companies onto a common financial system over a 20-month period before its acquisition by ASRC Federal.

Stewart is also a former CFO from companies such as ICF, Oceus Networks, DataZen, Blackboard and Deltek.
