Cubic adds Banerjee to board

Cubic Corp. adds former HP labs leader and long-time tech R&D veteran Prith Banerjee to the board of directors.

Cubic Corp. has added noted computer scientist and former HP Labs director Prith Banerjee to the board of directors.

Banerjee's term takes effect on Sept. 1 and he will take a newly-created position on the board, Cubic said Thursday. He will advise Cubic on its innovation efforts amid the defense and transportation contractor's shift to being a more focused technology business.

Banerjee is currently a senior client partner at Korn Ferry and oversees Internet of Things and digital transformation advisory services within the consulting firm's global industrial practice. He also serves on the board of directors at supercomputer manufacturer Cray.

His career prior to Korn Ferry includes roles such as chief technology officer at Schneider Electric, managing director of global research-and-development at Accenture and CTO at ABB.

At Hewlett-Packard, Banerjee was senior vice president of research and also director of its central research organization HP Labs.
