MAG Aerospace buys Ausley to grow Navy presence

MAG Aerospace continues its busy summer with the acquisition of Ausley Associates to grow work on Navy programs.
MAG Aerospace has acquired engineering and acquisition management services contractor Ausley Associates to expand work on Navy aviation programs.
Terms of the transaction were undisclosed. This deal adds more than 200 systems engineering, program management and logistics professionals to MAG's workforce, the company said Friday.
Lexington Park, Maryland-based Ausley specializes in unmanned aviation systems lifecycle support to the Naval Air Systems Command. Ausley also has experience in services for the Navy's variant of the F-35 fighter jet.
This is MAG's second acquisition in the summer so far since the defense IT services company received backing from private equity firm New Mountain Capital. Shortly after that investment, MAG acquired North American Surveillance Systems to bolster core aerial surveillance offerings.
Last week, MAG relocated its corporate headquarters to Fairfax, Virginia from Sterling.
