General Dynamics books $467M Postal Service IT job

General Dynamics receives a $467 million contract for enterprise IT services to the Postal Service.

General Dynamics has won a potential seven-year, $467 million task order to maintain and operate the Postal Service's overall IT environment.

The contract includes an initial three-year base period followed by four one-year option periods and extends General Dynamics' 35-year relationship with the Postal Service, the company said Monday.

GD's IT services division will update aging hardware and software, help develop strategies for the Postal Service's next-generation IT environment and implement new engineering methods for operating and administrative processes.
