American Systems buys DDL OMNI Engineering to expand existing offerings and add new government customer footprints.

American Systems has acquired engineering and technical services contractor DDL OMNI Engineering to expand existing offerings and add new government customer footprints.

Terms of the transaction announced Monday were undisclosed and DDL OMNI will bring approximately 250 new employees to American Systems.

McLean, Virginia-based DDL OMNI was founded in 1967 and specializes in services involving alteration design and installation; environmental; materials and structures engineering; program and strategic management; sensor and electronics development; software, web and systems development; technical documentation; and training and simulation.

Investment bank Teneo Capital advised DDL OMNI on its sale to American Systems.
