KBR's government arm hires NASA Marshall Center lead May

KBR hires NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Director Todd May as vice president of space strategy in the company’s government business.
KBR has hired nearly three-decade NASA veteran and Marshall Space Flight Center Director Todd May as vice president of space strategy in the company’s global government services business.
May will support the “KBRwyle” business’ enterprise space initiatives and oversee a systems engineering division that includes defense and civilian agencies customers, KBR said Wednesday. He will start his new role in July and specifically oversee the KBRwyle systems analysis and services division.
As Marshall center director, May is responsible for an almost $3 billion-per year budget with almost 6,000 civilian and contractor staff. He was appointed director in February 2016 after previous service as acting director and deputy director.
May’s career prior to the Marshall center includes roles such as manager of NASA’s Space Launch program and deputy associate administrator for the agency’s science mission directorate.
