ICF books potential $188M FEMA hurricane aid grant

ICF receives a potential 37-month, $188.85 million grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help review disaster recovery grant claims and formulate projects.

ICF has been selected for a potential 37-month, $188.85 million grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help review disaster recovery grant claims and formulate projects.

The company will collaborate with Puerto Rico’s government on the effort in response to Hurricanes Irma and Maria in the fall of last year, ICF said in a regulatory filing Thursday.

Work will take place over a three-week base period and up to three option years that would extend through to June 30, 2021.

In a February earnings call with investors, ICF executives said they started to see a pickup in proposals related to disaster relief funding and the Housing and Urban Development’s Community Block Grant program that allocates aid to local governments for post-disaster recovery.
