DISA awards $592M computer chip services contract
The Defense Information Services Agency awards a $592 million contract for processor capacity services related to computer chips.
The Defense Information Services Agency has awarded contracts to AECOM’s URS Federal Services business, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Vion Corp. for continued processor capacity services related to computer chips.
DISA’s new “ZIPPCS – Processor Capacity Services” contract is worth up to $592 million over 10 years, including a five-year base period followed by five-one year options. All awardees are incumbents from the predecessor contract awarded in 2012 and DISA received three offers for the new iteration, the Defense Department said in its Friday contracts digest.
Each awardee will compete for a different ceiling amount and provide different chipsets to DISA.
Ceiling and chipset details are as follows:
- HPE: $277 million, Itanium
- URS: $144 million, Z-series
- Vion: $171 million, System P
