Labor starts planning for IT services BPAs

The Labor Department has kicked off the market research phase for a series of five-year BPAs for a range of IT professional services and financial management services.

The Department of Labor is working on a series of five-year blanket purchase agreements for a range of IT professional services and financial management services.

The agency has launched its market research phase with a sources sought notice.

It wants potential bidders to describe their capabilities in these areas:

  • Agile framework software development
  • Big data and analytics
  • IT modernization
  • Mobility
  • Operations and maintenance
  • Security
  • Financial management

The agency is encouraging small businesses to respond with their capabilities so it can decide how to structure the contracts.

The BPAs will have a one-year base and four one-year options.

Responses to the RFI should be no more than five pages long and are due March 23.
