Cyber Command plans analytics IDIQ contract

U.S. Cyber Command is seeking information from industry to help it develop and plan the Joint Analytics Development, Transition, and Optimization Program.

Under a forthcoming contract called RAINFIRE, USCYBERCOM is requiring analytics support to aid cyber warfighters within the Defense Department. Under the planned acquisition, task orders will include integration management, completing various cyber mission forces, and meeting operational requirements for cyber capabilities across the DOD Information Network.

In addition, USCYBERCOM wants the maintained cloud-based development environments, support for system engineering of future analytics needs, and the use of off-site facilities to reduce footprint requirements in government spaces.

USCYBERCOM wants industry’s feedback about acquisition and technical characteristics, suggestions on requirements and management approaches that maximize innovations, and recommendations on contract type, contract structure, strategies to boost competition and small-business participation.

The agency has similar ongoing work on other contracts but none of the contracts encompass all that will be on the RAINFIRE contract. Officials intend to transition the work under those contracts to RAINFIRE.

USCYBERCOM released the request for information Feb. 28. Responses are due by March 12.
