DIA taps Johns Hopkins' APL for $125M sensor contract

DIA sole sources the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory for a potential five-year, $125 million sensor research contract.
The Defense Intelligence Agency has awarded a potential five-year, $125 million sole-source contract to the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory for engineering and research-and-development work.
APL will focus its efforts on engineering, integration, testing and employment services for specialized sensor systems.
DIA sought APL’s support for the agency’s directorate of science and technology office of advanced technologies, the Defense Department said in its Thursday contracts digest.
Work will take place in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region and other U.S. locations through Nov. 30, 2022.
