Subcontractor deal nets Salient CRGT $5M in analytics work

Salient CRGT has been tapped by another prime contractor to provide data analytics support to under a $5 million subcontract.

Working with prime Oasis Systems LLC, Salient CRGT will support the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The commission regulates commodity futures and swaps markets. Salient CRGT’s work will seek to help mitigate market fraud, manipulation and abusive practices.

The company will work with CFTC staff in reviewing, manipulating, visualizing and understanding data, according to a Salient CRGT release. The team will also work on data quality management activities that improve data quality.

“Data analytics is one of our fastest growing segments and plays a pivotal role in maximizing enforcement, surveillance, and compliance,” said Ken Raffel, senior vice president of data analytics at Salient CRGT. “Our big data services help the CFTC in fostering open, transparent, competitive, and financially sound markets.”

The task order was awarded under GSA Schedule 70. Oasis Systems is headquartered in Lexington, Mass. and has about 1,000 employees.
