Deloitte adds nonprofit vet Anderson to federal health leadership team

Deloitte adds nonprofit veteran Margaret Anderson to the consulting and professional services firm's federal health leadership team.

Deloitte has hired nonprofit veteran Margaret Anderson to a managing director position at the consulting and professional services firm's federal health leadership team.

Anderson will help lead Deloitte's work with federal health, nonprofit and health care and life science sector clients in their efforts to create improved outcomes for patients.

According to Deloitte, her career at health-related nonprofit organizations included close work with agencies such as the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration.

She more recently spent 13 years at the Milken Institute-run FasterCures center in Washington that culminated in time as executive director prior to her Deloitte appointment. FasterCures focuses on efforts to facilitate innovation and patient engagement collaborations across sectors.

Anderson's career prior to FasterCures includes roles such as deputy director and team leader at the Academy for Educational Development’s Center on AIDS & Community Health, program director at the Society for Women's Health Research and health science analyst at the American Public Health Association.

Anderson is a founding board member and former president of the Alliance for a Stronger FDA. She was also a founding member of NIH's National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences Advisory Council and Cures Acceleration Network Review Board.
