Northrop gets $98M Strategic Command tech services award

Northrop Grumman receives a new six-year, $98 million contract for technology services such as software and systems engineering to Strategic Command.

Northrop Grumman has received a new six-year, $98 million contract from the Air Force for software and systems engineering and other technology-related services to Strategic Command.

Stratcom sought overall operations and maintenance of its command-and-control infrastructure to support the organization's leadership, other combatant commands, service branch commands and additional authorized users.

The command wants updated communications and computer systems with common information and decision tools, applications and other functions in a synchronized network-centric information environment for deterrence and use in conflict.

Contract work will also include testing, integration, installation, security engineering and other administrative and support tasks.

Northrop will perform work at Stratcom's headquarters on Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska through Feb. 28, 2023. The command received one offer for the contract.
