NetCentrics elevates Barreda to CEO, succeeds co-founder Dougherty

IT and cyber services company NetCentrics promotes current president Cyndi Barreda to CEO as current chief executive and co-founder Bob Dougherty plans to retire.

IT and cybersecurity provider NetCentric Corp. has promoted current president and 15-year company veteran Cyndi Barreda to CEO.

She will succeed current chief executive and co-founder Bob Dougherty, who will transition to the role of vice chairman of the Herndon, Va.-based company's board of directors.

Barreda, a 20-year federal IT sector veteran, first joined NetCentrics in 2002 and is a former principal from American Management Systems, which CGI acquired the majority of in 2004 with AMS' defense business purchased by CACI International.

Prior to NetCentrics, she worked as an information management specialist in the U.S. government.
