General Dynamics wins potential $244M Navy training services contract

General Dynamics' IT arm will help the Navy with training development functions under a potential five-year, $244.9 million contract.

General Dynamics' IT business unit has won a potential five-year, $244.9 million contract for training and education program support services to the Navy.

Work under the "Training Services for the Center for Surface of Combat Systems" contract covers curriculum development and warfare training for 15 locations and international programs. The contract includes one base year and four option years.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division awarded the CSCS contract as a follow-on to a pair of predecessor task orders held by General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin first received its task order in 2010 and General Dynamics was added three years later, according to Deltek.

General Dynamics Information Technology will also provide instructor support, training aids and program management services to NSWC Dahlgren.
