CACI leverages L-3 acquisition to win $190M Joint Service Provider contract

CACI wins a $190 million contract thanks to its acquisition of L-3's National Security Solutions business.

CACI International has won a three-year, six-month Alliant task order with the Defense Department’s Join Service Provider to provide IT support services.

The contract represents new work for the Arlington, Va., company and was a result of its acquisition last year of the National Security Solutions business from L-3 Communications.

“This is a sound example of our acquisition strategy driving continued growth in our enterprise IT market area,” said CACI President and CEO Ken Asbury.

CACI was able to leverage the long-term relationships L-3 NSS had with the Joint Service Provider or JSP, the joint staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Asbury said in a statement.

The JSP provides IT products, services, solutions and support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the director administration, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, the Washington Headquarters Services and other DOD offices.

CACI will provide consolidated IT services such as video conferencing, service desk, support and information contingency for mission-essential functions. It also will manage telecommunications and enterprise print management for 22,000 users.
